The Old Globe’s Philanthropy Department seeks our next Donor Services Coordinator to steward major gift donors.

With a budget of $36 million, the Tony Award-winning Old Globe is a recognized leader among American regional theatres. Known for producing a broad range of work from Shakespeare and the classical repertoire to world premiere musicals and plays, the Globe annually produces a wide range of productions on its three stages in San Diego’s beautiful Balboa Park and extensive arts engagement programs, including a “Globe for All” touring program that performs in community venues throughout San Diego County.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Philanthropy, the Donor Services Coordinator is responsible for processing show and event tickets and parking requests for Circle Patrons (donors of $3,000 and above), the Board of Directors, and other select patrons. A vital member of the department’s operations team, the Donor Services Coordinator also provides general support to the department, runs reports from Tessitura (the Globe’s database), helps solicit gifts when needed, and works closely with the Events Director, major gifts staff, box office, suite and valet concierges, and others to provide an exceptional theatre experience for all Circle Patrons and their guests. We seek a motivated, patient, highly organized, and proactive professional who is dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service.

The successful candidate will have excellent customer service and computer skills, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, will enjoy working with donors to build relationships, and is comfortable collaborating with members within other departments. Excellent skills in Microsoft Word and Excel required; ticketing experience preferred. Full-time position with benefits including 401(k).

Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and access and anti-racism work in the theatre. As of October 1, 2021, employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 unless a medical or religious exemption applies. Must be able to pass applicable background check.

The Old Globe is committed to fostering a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion in all areas of our operation, therefore we strongly encourage applications from populations underrepresented in the theatre field. Multilingual candidates are also strongly encouraged to apply. Send cover letter and resume to HR@TheOldGlobe.org with “Donor Services” in the subject line.
