The Old Globe, a year-round professional theatre company producing 14 or more productions on three stages in beautiful Balboa Park in San Diego, seeks experienced candidates for the position of Marketing Assistant. Each season features a renowned summer Shakespeare Festival along with productions of classic and world premiere plays and musicals, Humanities programming including an annual new play reading series, and a dynamic variety of Arts Engagement programs focused on engaging with San Diego’s diverse communities including the annual Globe for All tour.  

The Marketing Assistant will assist and support the Marketing team in developing an informed, engaged, and loyal audience for Old Globe productions. Duties include prospecting for promotional opportunities; distributing marketing materials; overseeing ticket giveaway program; overseeing and assisting with marketing events; maintaining marketing archives and filing and assisting with various Marketing projects as assigned.  

Successful candidates will have 1-3 years related experience, be highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel; able to balance multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy working collaboratively. Experience with Tessitura ticketing system a plus. Must be able to occasionally work nights and weekends.
