The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego is seeking a Pub Manager to oversee operations for its concessions at Lady Carolyn’s Pub, aspiring to increase the levels of hospitality and set new industry standards of exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities include staffing, purchasing, menu planning, inventory management, sales tracking and budgeting. Position directly supervises all Pub staff (part-time) and volunteers, and staffing responsibilities include hiring, training, managing, mentoring, developing, and reviewing all Pub staff. Preferred candidate will be detail-oriented and a strong communicator with excellent customer service and supervisory skills.
Must be able to work evenings and weekends. 3-5 years food/beverage experience and 2-3 years management experience required; non-profit/arts experience is a plus. Must have or be able to obtain Food Safety Manager certification. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and access and anti-racism work in the theatre. Must have a valid driver license with a clean driving record and be able to complete and clear a background screening.
