The San Diego Performing Arts League’s mission is to support San Diego County performing arts organizations, and to promote audience development by providing resources, services and collaborative partnerships.
SDPAL operates ArtsTix, the only not-for-profit ticket vendor in the San Diego region. ArtsTix offers tickets to performing arts events around San Diego, at full price and discounted rates. ArtsTix supports local performing arts groups by selling tickets that may otherwise go unsold. In addition, ArtsTix discount tickets allow many residents and visitors to attend live performing arts events that they would otherwise not be able to afford.
One of the performing arts community’s most cherished events is the Star Awards, the San Diego Performing Arts League’s annual tribute to volunteers coupled with an entertaining variety show. The Star Awards is a jubilant evening where volunteers from around San Diego County are honored for their hard work and tireless dedication to their organizations.
The SDPAL also produces San Diego Theatre Week. A 10-day celebration of the performing arts in San Diego, which highlights the many and varied shows that are produced in our city. Guests can receive discounted tickets to a myriad of shows from Theatre, Dance, Music and Comedy.
In the Fall of 2018, the League acquired the San Diego Actors Alliance, and now provides services to performing artists, staff and technicians, under the newly branded Cast & Crew. We also have developed the San Diego Performing Arts Directory, which is a comprehensive listing of all performing arts professionals in the city. The League also produces the very popular All Cities Auditions every year.
