North Coast Repertory Theatre is currently seeking House Managers to help run their front of house operations.  The ideal candidate is an easy-going team player with customer service experience, who can multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Management of the North Coast Café, lobby, and theater auditorium during performances.
  • Coordinating and ensuring the smooth operation of the Front of House (FOH) during performances, and in the presence of patrons.
  • Maintaining open dialogue with box office staff, stage management, and volunteers during shifts.
  • Generating revenue through food and beverage sales, including reconciling, reporting and depositing nightly.
  • Set-up and break down of FOH operations at the beginning and end of every shift.

This candidate will:

  • Have practical knowledge of a live theatrical environment, or be willing to learn.
  • Possess experience working directly with volunteers and the public.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and an even temperament.
  • Exhibit experience to supervise effectively; including the mediation of problems with patrons, volunteers and staff.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and management skills in a fast-paced environment with many disruptions.
  • Be able to sustain physical activity including remaining on feet for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, pushing carts.
  • Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid CA driver’s license.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Salary range $22-$25 hourly.
